The Charter Standard

Bassingbourn Youth Football Club has been recognised by the Football Association and Cambridgeshire Football Association for FA Charter Standard status.

Jim Hill of Cambridgeshire FA Football Development is pictured presenting the award to BYFC Chairman David Harrington, together with fellow club players and coaches.

The Charter Standard Scheme is a best practice scheme that sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for clubs working with young people and acts as a benchmark for quality and improving the playing experience for all.

The FA Charter Standard Clubs programme, supported by FA Community partner McDonald's, was launched in February 2001 and is a core component of The FA 'Grassroots' Football Development programme.
